Summer recap... 2 weeks left

so i have not really been writing this summer... and to be fair.. its because i have done a lot. Well... a lot in August. As some will know i drove down to California on the 31st of July. That night we made it as far as Portland, Oregon before taking a stop and sleeping in a hotel in Salem. Then, the next morning we drove down to San Jose (TAKING THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE!) where i met my cousins Linda, Kent and their baby Kate as well as Kasey who was also staying there for a while. i did write a blog post on my time there.. that was never posted. I will try and find it and put it on here ASAP.
Anyways the next day we had a late start and we finally left and drove down to Santa Barbara.. our destination. Of course, out of all the times to get it... mother nature chose THEN to hit me... and having to explain to my grandpa why i needed to go to the store instead of staying at his house for a bit longer... AWKWARD.
Anyway, i went to see dinner for schmucks while i was there and spent a lot of time with my family (including my aunt and cousin who drove down from Vegas). It was surprisingly cold in California which was a drastic change compared to Texas...
To put it lightly... Texas was horrible for my health. I had 29 mosquito bites all up my legs and arms (and i am allergic to them so they swelled like a BALLOON), i got a black eye after a incident with a wet volleyball in the pool, and i had a bump on my head from smoking my head against the bars on a roller coaster at 6 flags. I couldn't have had more fun. I got to see ym cousin Laura and Giovanni and my Zia Vovi. The heat was disgustingly hot and almost unbearable... but when i finally came home (after losing my passport 3 hours before i had to leave San Antonio and having to unpack and repack my suitcase THREE times before finding it) i was the only one not sweating at the 33 degree weather. It was nothing compared to Texas heat... and for a while.. it was good.
I was glad to have my other brother back home (his house burned down)and it was GREAT seeing all my friends. I even met some new ones down in Cloverdale... and i love them all. Certain people stand out more than others ;)
so here i am... a week and a half after coming home and the fun inst ending yet. I am going to Jessica's in about 2 hours... so i got to get ready. Post more later.. and if i remember anything else, I'll tell you :)

Vampire Academy... Foreshadowing?

Warning.... may contain spoilers!

Ok, for my fellow vampire academy fans I have a question.(and for those who dont know, Vampire Academy is a popular teen fiction book by Richelle Mead and by far one of my two favorite books/series...EVER)

Okay... in the fifth (and the most recent) book [Spirit Bound] , Rose is arrested for Treason at the end of the book when she appositely murdered the queen... now i am rereading the series... and today i started off with the first book, [Vampire Academy].
I am at the part where we are first introduced to the queen and she goes to Lissa and says something totally rude and uncalled for (for those who want to know she says that Lissa's first name, Vasilisa, was given to many heroines in Russian fairy tales. Her last name, Dragomir demands it own respect because kings and queens in the past with the Dragomir name have ruled wisely and justly.[also this is a royal name and Lissa is the last remaining Vampire of the Dragomir line, and in thus, is the heir.] Then she proceeds to say that Lissa has demostrated that what your named after means nothing and it will not reflect the person they will become... BITCH...)
ANYWAYS, after she is able, Rose, the main character and narrator, goes to find Lissa, her BFF, and tells her she will kill the queen if Lissa asked. Although she says she is serious, it is obviously said to make Lissa feel better. Lissa continues to tell her not to even say anythink like that because she will be arrested for Treason...

did anyone ever notice the foreshadowing???? i dont even know if the author meant to do this.. but i am very curious to find out. If i ever do, i will let you all know.

Thats all for now, i will post later a summer reading list (books i intend to read/ reread) and at the end of summer i will post a reading list stating the books i actually read/reread.

DAY 1

Hello, so this is day 1 of my 26 day challenge. So what have I done today… well to be honest… I have done some writing in my story, 9 Kingdoms (I do believe the name will change) and played Frontierville on facebook… oh and I have been talking in an English accent for most of the day because I am that cool.

Okay, so a quote from a friend… okay, I am going to quote Davide Quarinto when he messaged me over facebook. The first thing he said was “Yay, you’re not dead!” I then proceeded to tell him I was dead and it was my ghost talking to him, but that is another story.

The book I am going to quote is one of my favourite, if not my absolute favourite, series, The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. In Book 1, The City of Bones, Clary and Jace go to Madam Dorothea’s apartment and Jace makes a witty comment at something she had said. She turns to look at him and says, “If you were half as funny as you thought you were, my boy, you would be twice as funny as you are.” This has to be my absolute favourite quote…ever.

Something I learned… okay in book 2 of the Mortal Instrument series there is a phrase that Clary writes… Mene Mene Tekel Upharem. I don’t know what language it is, but they don’t go and say what it mean right away… being as impatient as I am I looked it up. Pretty much it is a foretelling of doom. I don’t really want to go into detail of how it originated other than it is from the bible and the phrase is also known as ‘the writing on the wall’

Alright… something profound… hm… ‘The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer. ‘ -Edward R. Murrow. When I heard this… it reminded me of love. Everyone else knows he loves you and yet you remain oblivious… I believe that’s how the saying goes.
